Overseas Trained Doctors Print E-mail

In rural and regional areas about forty percent of doctors are trained overseas.

A parliamentary inquiry is currently looking at the working conditions they face in areas where there's a doctor shortage, not just in rural and regional areas but also on the urban fringe.

Today the National Rural Health Alliance will present its views on how to attract and retain doctors in the bush.

Executive Director Gordon Gregory outlines the issues.
